High Knob Hike

Wow. I am so glad we decided to go to High Knob to hike even though it was raining. After a short decline I ended up among giants that rivaled the giant "gods" at the Garden. There were caves, ledges, tall rocks with abundant foliage. My only regret is that I didn't go sooner. The whole trail was just under a mile and took about 20 mins; of course you could stretch it out much longer by exploring which I will hurry back to do when it is dryer weather.

Ledge on the right at the beginning of trail.

Pile of rocks on right about 1/3 of the way through. Steve demonstrating the height..and later the steep climb down on his hehind.

One of many tight squeezes to explore.

Yet another tight squeeze that goes back into cave-like area. Taking Steve’s word on this.

So many tall rocks to meander around. Coty & Maggie kept up; in fact it was super important to Maggie to be the leader.

Many rocks “breaking” like giant ships that resemble Fern Cliffe.

Rocks steps on the way out.

Overall the Trail was about one mile and about 20 mins to hike. I’d call it moderate but a more fit person might call it easy.
